The journey began almost three decades ago as Rose started making wine from the McLaren vale vines planted by her late father in law in 1969. Rose, with her viticulturist husband Sam Harrison, quickly rejuvenated the old vineyard and established a thriving winery driven by a philosophy of growing premium quality fruit lead by terroir.
In 2010 the pair moved to France with their four children to establish relationships with Estate vignerons in the south of France. Rose has returned for vintage each year to nourish these relationships and create wines that express the essence of the land on which they’re grown.
Rose has always thought of her practice as more than just a brand. Every bottle is a reflection of the season, the learnings, the farming risks and the personal journey that it is to be a maker.
Along with the family wine business, Rose and her husband Sam tend to their regenerative farm on Kangaroo Island and host guests at their newly renovated accommodation Pago (a retreat in the garden of their 180 year old home). Rose is also the CoFounder of Sparkke, a for-purpose alcohol company.
We hope you’re enjoying our wines and please stay in touch.
